Happy Birthday

This weekend I made my first Birthday cake...for a 50th Birthday Gal...with an Autumn theme.

Sakeenah's mom was in for a treat. Imagine a Chocolate Mousse cake covered in Chocolate Ganache and finished off with a Chocolate collar...a must for all chocoholics. Yes, I have made this cake before but this was the first time I made all the decorations as well.






And some Red Velvet Cupcakes...just because she had heard so much about how delicious they are.

We're in Business....

On Friday, I received my brand new business cards. New ones were designed as all my contact details were not on the original.

Market Day

Love Cupcakes currently has a stall at the Porters Market in Tokai (from 9am-1pm). Saturday, 12 March was my first weekend there and I have to admit that preparing for market day was quite time consuming, but also loads of fun. Thank you to all those that helped and supported me!!

After the market, I had a bit of a rest and was inspired to make my boyfriend, Anton, some coconut marshmallows as it's his favourite...and it was our 6 month anniversary :)

Busy Bee...

It's been awhile since I have added any new pics...SORRY! I have been busy this weekend to make up!  And to think...with chocolate of all things..imagine, in this heat! Well, it came out quit well if I do say so myself.

Firstly, I made some chocolate cupcakes with chocolate Icing for Monique who's Nephew will be arriving in SA today for the first time EVER!



I also made some Vanilla Cupcakes with Buttercream Icing for Tanja's sister-in-laws baby shower.


 
Lastly, just for fun...I made a Chocolate Mousse Cake with Chocolate Ganache and a chocolate collar...

This cake was time consuming as it had to be done in stages...luckily I had the whole weekend to myself to try out the recipe.
